Melissa Lim

I have joined Rotary Project Management Department in January 2016. Working in Rotary has been an exciting journey, we have been given opportunities to manage projects and participating in tender exercises. The management has place confidence in our capabilities and encourage us to step out of our comfort zone and think out of the box for problem solving in our project. There is always great teamwork and supportive colleagues to overcome challenges and complete the project safely, on time and within budget.

Rotary believes in nurturing and continually building up the employees’ skills and knowledge, so there will be workshops and seminars been organised regularly to enhance our professional and leadership skills, as well as exchanging lesson learnt and exploring ideas / solutions from various departments and BUs.

Currently I am involved in the JPTT Phase 1 project and it is truly a privilege to be part of this high-profile project and working together with Client, Consultant and dedicated driven project team members. It is wonderful to be able to share and learn many new things from each other. I look forward to participating in upcoming projects to challenge myself further and contributing to the Rotary family.

Khea Lynn Velez

Coming from a different background, with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity to be a part of this Industry. Starting off as Document controller, I have gained enough knowledge and skills that has opened doors for me to explore a different potential I would have never known to be my strength had Rotary not given me the chance in the first place. Now, being the Assistant-QA Manager, I have grown so much not only in my career, but holistically as a multi-faceted individual.

In my 11 years of working in the QA/QC Department, I am grateful for the mentoring and guidance given by my superiors. It’s rewarding to know that my efforts are being appreciated. I am privileged to work with my colleagues who work as a team and most importantly as a family. It is very encouraging to be surrounded by such group of people and what I enjoy the most is doing meaningful work followed by a sense of completion and accomplishment.

With a grateful heart, it is now my desire that as I grow, the people around me also grow along with me. Just as a true leader whose actions should inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.

Roy Zhang

I have been with Rotary Engineering since 2007 after I graduated from University in China. It was started from joining the Global Workforce Scheme of Rotary Group.

Rotary always provide opportunities to all the employees to allow them to develop and grow in their career. In the past 12 years, I worked as Project Engineer, Planner, Quality Surveyor, Field Engineer before I have promoted to Project Manager. This made my knowledge stronger in different field of thinks and helps me to evaluate the situation from different angles when I’m facing with challenges. With the experience gained at the construction site, the company also provide good training program to reinforce my knowledge base for my job requirements, which include the technical know-how etc.

The management is supportive of new initiatives that will improve staff productivity and efficiency from the younger generation. They always mentioned that their doors are open to us for any ideas and questions. The management places its trust in the staff and we have been given much freedom to explore the different solutions and to make recommendations accordingly.

In addition, there is a strong sense of teamwork amongst colleagues – makes me feel that we are just like a family. I always enjoy the corporate events such as DND, voluntary activities etc, organized by the company. It helps to blend all the colleagues from different departments and have fun together. I am happy to be able to work alongside with a great team in Rotary. We accommodate each other’s’ differences and stay focus on achieving our targets.
