A Rotary – IRR Collaboration

Migrant workers have been at the centre of the COVID-19 situation in Singapore over the past few months. Having traversed thousands of miles away from home to provide for their families, many have been cast into a cloud of uncertainty.

As a company with over 2000 migrant workers, Rotary stands in solidarity with them. We collaborated with ItsRainingRaincoats(IRR) on Project MADWISH–Making A Difference While I Stay Home. It serves to improve migrant workers’ competency of English while they remained in their dormitories.

To-date, Rotary has successfully enrolled over 𝟱𝟬𝟬 of our colleagues. Sessions are tailored specifically with contents related to their work on sites. Improved communication skills enhance safety standards and better guarantee their return home safely. A common language also strengthens their integration into our broader community.
In this difficult time, Rotary stands together with our colleagues. We strongly urge our industry friends to join us in this program. Hit the link to learn more about this initiative.
