SATORP

Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and French petroleum company Total S.A.  The 400,000 barrels per day SATORP Jubail Export Refinery is one of the most advanced in the world and will refine Arabian heavy crude oil into high specification products for local Arabian and international markets.

• 62 atmospheric storage tanks and 8 bullet tanks
• Total storage capacity of 1.6 million cbm
• Mechanical works include installation of 100 GC pumps, 4 positive displacement pumps, 88 mixers, 24 small tanks and vessels, 5 package units, 23 transformers, HVAC equipment
• Electrical & Instrumentation works include new substations and lighting facilities, 3 instrument control rooms, FCR, PIB, and PCR cabinets, cable routine, tank gauging systems, fire & gas detectors
• Holds the record for the largest bullet tank in the world  during the time of its assembly, weighing 1,293 metric tones measuring at 84 m long with an external diameter of 9m
